There is nothing quite like procrastination. Mom and I have been talking for a while about what we want to get dad for Father's Day but hadn't yet done anything. So today, we came up with a diabolical plan! Being the Friday night before Father's Day, we called dad and told him to meet us at TGI Friday's at 4, giving us enough time to go Home Depot and get his gift. Purchased, wrapped, and now giddy with excitement, we present his gift of a new drill (so desperately needed) over a meal of Sizzling Chicken and Spinach (heavenly!)
What started off as a rough morning, turned into one of the greatest day! This just proves that with a great attitude, the worst of things can become the best of things! Have a great day y'all!

More about us...
Carlene: I am a blessed wife, mother, and grandmother. Born, raised, and still living today in a small southern town. I married my high school sweetheart 29 years ago, man how the time flies! I have three beautiful children; Jodie, Matt, and Lane. However, my thoughts now-a-days are mainly consumed with thoughts of grand babies. Their ages are 6, 2, and 18 months... ALL boys...
Lane: I am a small town girl with BIG plans! Two years ago I made the decision to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and have been working towards that goal with fierce determination. I am very close to submitting my papers and finding out where the Lord would have me go. For now though, I am enjoying my summer with my beautiful mother as we take care of the farm.
Lane "attempting" to hula-hoop... bless her heart.
